On September 19, 2024, a “Discussion Forum” event was held on the Geneva negotiations, the effects of war, and how to promote peace in Sudan. The forum was attended and participated by a large number of Sudanese.

The discussion was initiated by Tariq Babiker Muhaisi, Director of the Transparency Project at Democracy First Organization, followed by Abdul Majeed Saleh, Director General of the African Organization for Rights and Development, who spoke about the repercussions of the April War and the opportunities for peace.

Rawya Kamal Abdul Karim, a member of the women’s delegation who participated in the Geneva talks, shared her experience and stressed the importance of peaceful solutions and negotiations despite the challenges to achieve lasting peace and make Sudan peaceful and free of weapons.
