Within the framework of enhancing coordination and fruitful cooperation, consolidating relations and partnerships among Sudanese civil society organizations, unifying efforts and harnessing all possible capabilities for the benefit of the Sudanese people, supporting and assisting them in light of these extremely complex circumstances, due to the ongoing war that has violated all the rights of Sudanese citizens, and cast its negative shadows on the overall situation in Sudan, especially the humanitarian situation that needs urgent treatment, as these challenges fall on the shoulders of all Sudanese and their civil institutions at home and abroad, and necessitate the necessity of joint work and unifying efforts to stop the war and address these challenges.
Based on this principle, the Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy and the Al-Dar Organization for Development, Women and Children’s Rights held a joint meeting the day before yesterday at the headquarters of the African Organization for Rights and Development in Kampala.
The meeting discussed a number of issues of common interest between the two parties, especially the violations that the Sudanese are exposed to, and the catastrophic humanitarian conditions that large sectors of the Sudanese people suffer from, especially women, children and the elderly.
Both parties appreciated the meeting and agreed to hold other meetings in the coming days to enhance partnership and cooperation between the two parties, and implement joint humanitarian projects in villages and remote rural areas within Sudan, which lack all services and the most basic necessities of life.
We at the Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy encourage all Sudanese and their civil institutions, especially the youth, to unify efforts, work together, and exert maximum pressure on the parties to the conflict in Sudan to stop this war and humanitarian violations against civilians, respect international laws and agreements that protect civilians, and allow the delivery of humanitarian aid without any restrictions.
We believe that stopping the war and addressing the dire humanitarian conditions requires coordination and unification of the efforts of all Sudanese, and working with all courage to confront the parties to the conflict, and urging them to stop the war, achieve peace, and return to the civil democratic path.
