
About us
The Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy was established in November 2022 and registered in East Africa – Uganda on the 19th of September 2024 under the registration number 800 349 7756 8295 by young people dedicated to supporting efforts to build comprehensive and lasting peace in Sudan. The center aims to consolidate democracy and humanitarian principles to create a peaceful democratic society. Since its inception, the center has been actively involved in various peacebuilding and community development initiatives, empowering youth and promoting democratic values.

To become a leading center in building and developing the capabilities of youth, establishing an aware generation that believes in freedom, justice, and humanitarian values. The center aims to promote the values of peace, tolerance, and coexistence and instill the principles of democracy in societies.
Mission
We realize that peace is more than just the absence of violence. We promote social peace and tolerance, support peaceful coexistence between societies, consolidate the democratic principle, and affirm justice to build sustainable peace.

Objectives
- Contributing to achieving comprehensive peace, spreading its culture, consolidating the concept of social peace and consolidating the values of democracy.
- Combating all forms of discrimination, especially on the basis of “gender”, and all forms of violence, especially violence against women and children, and we seek to strengthen the rule of law at the national and international levels and ensure equal opportunities for access to justice for all.
- Developing and building the capacities of youth to play their main roles in educating communities and raising awareness of the values of peaceful coexistence and acceptance of others, and consolidating the principle of dialogue in resolving conflicts.
- Combating all forms of wars and conflicts, revealing their causes, condemning perpetrators of crimes, combating all forms of extrajudicial killing and forced displacement of communities, and emphasizing the right of every person to reside in their homeland in security and peace.
- Promoting peaceful and inclusive societies, providing opportunities for access to justice for all, and building effective institutions committed to the law.
