Closing of the capacity building workshop, and a visit US Special Envoy to Sudan.

The capacity building workshop organized by the Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy, in partnership with the African Organization for Rights and Development, concluded today at the AFORD office in Kampala.

The two-day workshop aimed to equip young participants with the skills to create collaborative projects, using directed writing techniques and innovative digital methods.

The main focus of the workshop was to encourage participants to continuously propose new ideas.

Participants will undergo practical assessments to evaluate their project writing skills, and successful participants will be awarded certificates of participation based on their performance.

We were honored by the visit of the US Special Envoy to Sudan, Mr. Tom Perriello, to the African organization, where he toured the workshop and met with participants.

We express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Perriello for his visit and commend his great efforts to stop the ongoing war in Sudan and address the horrific humanitarian crisis resulting from the conflict that began on April 15, 2023.

We reiterate our gratitude to Mr. Perriello, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the US government for their support for the Sudanese people and their continued efforts to find a solution that ends the war in Sudan, provides humanitarian assistance and facilitates peace.

It is worth noting that their contributions to the recent Geneva talks played a crucial role in opening border crossings and delivering humanitarian assistance to the Sudanese people.

The Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy expresses its deep appreciation for the efforts of the US Special Envoy and the US government to stop the war in Sudan.

The Nubian Center affirms its unlimited support for all initiatives aimed at ending the conflict, addressing the humanitarian situation, achieving peace and stability and restoring Sudan’s democratic civil path.
