The Executive Office of the Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy held its meeting on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, in the presence of the Chairperson of the Center, Mohamed Salih Mohamed Yassin (PhD), who came from Geneva after participating in the meetings of the United Nations and the Human Rights Council.

The meeting discussed a number of agendas, including evaluating the activities of the Nubian Center during the previous period, especially within the framework of its participation with a number of partners in implementing the program to celebrate the International Day of Peace, which was held from 17-21, 2024, last September, in Kampala, with the support of US Aid and DT Global.
The meeting also approved the plans and programs of the Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy for the coming period, including intensive programs for training and qualifying Sudanese youth and girls, in various fields of work of Sudanese civil society organizations, especially in the process of establishing joint projects using the approach of directed writing skills and other innovative digital methods, in addition to training in the fields of human rights and humanitarian work.
The meeting also discussed the current humanitarian situation in Sudan due to the repercussions of the war, as well as the conditions of Sudanese refugees in Kiryandongo camp in Bweyale District, Uganda.
