In the context of strengthening partnerships, ensuring the continuation of fruitful cooperation, expanding the scope of relations with Sudanese civil society organizations, and harnessing capabilities to serve the Sudanese people in these difficult and complex circumstances they are suffering from due to the ongoing war and its negative repercussions on the overall situation in Sudan.
A joint meeting was held between the Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy and the Bana Initiative for Peace and Development on the evening of Monday, November 4, 2024, at the headquarters of the African Organization for Rights and Development in Kampala.
The meeting was fruitful between the two parties, as Mss. Ekram Hamza, Chief Executive Office of the Bana Initiative for Peace and Development, presented a historical background on the establishment of the initiative and its goals, in addition to the activities it implemented.
For his part, Mohamad Salih, Mohamed Yassin, (PhD), Chairperson of the Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy, presented a historical background on the establishment and founding of the center, in addition to the activities in which it participated.
The two parties valued the meeting and agreed to hold other meetings in the coming days and enter into a dialogue to explore areas of cooperation of common interest, enhance the partnership, sign a joint cooperation agreement, and ensure the continuation of fruitful cooperation that leads to achieving and implementing common goals that would support, assist, and stand with the Sudanese people, especially with regard to the process of stopping the war and addressing the humanitarian conditions they are suffering from to alleviate their suffering in these historical circumstances they are going through.
